My I am an abstract artist with a dual artistic persona. I am both a perfectionist (do it right) and an abstract expressionist (just do it). The perfectionist in me wants a path to follow but the abstract expressionist in me seeks an adventure to unfold off the beaten track. The tension created by these two converging paths fuels an anticipation of the unexpected in my art. My painting springs from the foundation of Abstract Expressionism, also known as Action Painting. Jackson Pollock and Jack Bush (Painters 11), were early influencers in my journey into abstraction. I am a graduate of the Ontario College of Art and Design on scholarship. My work has been shown in galleries in Paris, Toronto, Ottawa and Markham.
